Volker Kuntzsch is an Executive Advisor based in New Zealand who brings more than thirty years of industry-leading experience to Seafood People. He is currently the CEO of the Cawthron Institute, New Zealand’s largest independent science organization.
He has served as President of Nippon Suisan USA, President/CEO of King & Prince Seafood and most recently as CEO of Sanford Ltd.
Volker’s focus has been in operational transformation where he revitalized companies with his highly effective, commercially focused approach. His leadership repositioned companies from commodity-driven to innovative, reputable, customer-centric companies that were highly attractive to investors and employees alike.
He has lived across five continents which gives him a deep understanding of how to transcend cultural barriers. His mantra is: “It is always about the people.”
Volker has a Masters of Science degree from Stellenbosch University.
