Jørgen Aase Bjørsvik is a Manager at Seafood People, based in Bergen, Norway. Before joining the Seafood People team, Jørgen worked as an HR consultant in Sbanken ASA for nearly one and a half years. He spent a total of five and a half years at Sbanken ASA.
Jørgen holds a Master’s degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business administration (NHH) with specialization in Strategy and Leadership. His Master’s thesis is about the emphasis on fit between leader and follower in recruitment processes. He completed his Master’s degree in the Winter of 2018.
After High School, Jørgen spent a year in the Navy in the Norwegian Armed Forces. The next year he studied law, before starting at NHH. During Jørgen’s time at NHH he had two part-time jobs– one year at Schibsted Media Group, and four years at Sbanken ASA.
Jørgen is a DNV certified recruiter and a licensed user of Cut-e Assessment Systems, working with recruitment processes from A to Z for Seafood People covering all continents and the whole aquaculture value chain for several species.
Jørgen has worked on projects with senior level roles and specialist for companies in Norway, USA, Iceland, Canada, Spain, Greece, Netherlands, Mexico, Belgium, Germany and Chile. He has a great network in the seafood industry, especially in Europe and Americas.
